The impact the COVID-19 Coronavirus is enough to create anxiety for even the most experienced traveler.  Preferred Travel Services is committed to helping you navigate the ever-changing dynamics of travel during this uncertain time and will utilize the full power of our experience and resources to advocate in your best interest.

 

Our number one priority is your safety and peace-of-mind, as well as the safety of our staff.  We have moved our employees to a work-from-home environment.  We are completely operational and all staff are working our normal business hours to ensure that our service levels to our valued clients remain unchanged, regardless of whether your travel is immediate or in the future, we are here for you.

Information for Travelers:

We fully understand the stress travelers may feel about cancellations, changes, refunds and future travel plans.  We are using our close connections and all possible resources to address each situation as it unfolds and are your strongest advocate.

Many travel vendors have created more flexible travel for destinations where significant spread of the virus have been reported. These flexible policies may allow for the waiving of fees for changes or cancelation of travel, of course this would be subject to specific terms and conditions. We encourage our travelers to contact us with any questions, or to check the specific vendors website to determine potential impacts to their travel. These flexible polices are typically fluid to accommodate the ever-changing conditions or developments.  

Your Preferred Travel Services team is monumentally grateful for your loyalty, support and understanding as we assist our clients in this continually evolving situation.  We are saddened by both the effect on those directly touched by this virus as well as the unprecedented impact it has had on travel.

**EFFECTIVE JANUARY 26TH, 2021:**

The CDC has just implemented a policy that all travelers, US citizens or not, who are returning from an international destination must provide a negative Covid 19 test that was taken prior to entering the country effective January 26th, 2021.  Since our travel outside the country is fairly limited this will apply most to those who travel to Mexico or the Caribbean.  We have received word that many hotel groups are offering these rapid tests at no charge to their guests.  If you are considering travel outside of the country, please consult the CDC website for current updates. 

 

Along these same lines, American Airlines is the first U.S. airline to introduce VeriFLY, an app that is essentially a mobile health passport that provides everything from covid test results to what is required in various destinations.  The app will be available January 23rd and should streamline check-in and documentation verification processes at the airport.
